Fish value chain and the determinants of value addition decision: Empirical evidence from Bangladesh

The present study was conducted to explore the fish value chain and determinants that influenced farmer's decision, preferably in addition of Rui, Catla, Tilapia, Pangas fish. Hence, primary data were collected from 200 farmers 212 market actors three districts Bangladesh. per quintal by retailers Mymensingh Jessore areas highest for Rui lowest Pangas. In Dhaka, retailer's reported Catla. Poisson regression analysis revealed farmers' education, farming experience, access extension services could positively, while age negatively influence their decisions. Developing effective is vital make an integrated sophisticated system
